Abstracting a Still Life Catherine Trembath December 5, 2026 10am - 1pm $85 Still life drawing doesn't have to be about getting every detail just right. If you've ever wanted to loosen up your style and explore a more expressive approach, this workshop is for you. We'll kick things off with a review of basic drawing skills and techniques, then draw inspiration from abstract still life works by a range of artists. After some warmup exercises, you'll experiment with ways to draw more intuitively, using pencil, charcoal, and scissors to find your own expressive approach. All levels welcome. Catherine is an abstract realist artist who loves to inspire people to explore their creative side. She has a background in graphic design and teaching art in addition to an art practice. Currently, the forest, especially the light therein, is her muse. This class is safe space where you can choose if you want anyone to see your work.
