Fall Repair Cafés are back for Circular Economy Month! Need something fixed? Bring your broken item to the Repair Café, where our skilled volunteers will help you repair it—for free! Whether it’s a missing button, a crooked stool, a broken photo frame, or jewelry with a wacky clasp, bring it to the Repair Café. Our skilled volunteers will assist you with the repair. Repair Cafés are community initiatives that promote repair as an alternative to discarding items. Residents can bring their broken items and fix them on the spot with the help of our volunteers. Please note: A Repair Café is not a drop-off service. We ask that you stay on-site while your item is being repaired. Due to capacity of fixers and space, we ask that you only bring ONE item to be fixed to make this event as accessible as possible to the most amount of people. Example of items that can be fixed: Electronics Textiles (e.g. clothing, bags, buttons) Jewellry Outdoor Gear (Patches on outdoor gear) Children’s Toys Items that cannot be fixed: Zips, if these are already broken the whole zip needs to be replaced which is outside of scope for our volunteers The repair cafés are brought to you in partnership by Whistler Public Library, Resort Municipality of Whistler and the Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment (AWARE).
