Memory Stockings A Beginner Sewing & Remembrance Workshop Turn a cherished piece of clothing into something you can hold onto for years to come. In this beginner-friendly sewing class, you’ll learn how to transform a shirt belonging to a loved one who has passed away into a beautiful handmade Christmas stocking. No previous sewing experience is necessary. With guidance from the instructor, you’ll learn basic sewing techniques, how to work with existing clothing fabric, and how to assemble and finish your stocking. Bring a clean shirt or piece of clothing that holds special memories. It might be a favourite flannel, button-up shirt, T-shirt, or another garment that reminds you of someone you love. This is more than a sewing project—it’s an opportunity to preserve a little piece of someone special and create a meaningful keepsake that can become part of your family’s holiday traditions for years to come. Students will need to bring their own memory garment.
