Driven by fiery rhythms and exceptional musicianship, CaneFire delivers a thrilling fusion of white-hot energy Cuban rhythm, the blinding musicianship of modern jazz, and the unbridled joy of the music of the Caribbean. Led by acclaimed Canadian pianist and composer (and ArtSpring returner) Jeremy Ledbetter, this is music that invites audiences to listen, move, and celebrate. CaneFire’s signature sound revolves around its unconventional use of the steelpan, and this seven-piece ensemble deliver performances that are both technically impressive and irresistibly joyful. Intricate musical interplay, vibrant rhythms, and moments of spontaneous creativity keep audiences engaged from beginning to end. Whether you’re a jazz enthusiast, a world music explorer, or simply someone who enjoys great live performance, CaneFire offers an exhilarating musical journey.
