age 11-18 Discover the art of bird carving with award-winning bird carver Mark Ross! In this hands-on workshop, young artists will explore the techniques of shaping and detailing wood to create their own unique bird carvings using rotary tools, with guidance and support from an experienced instructor. Students will have the opportunity to choose their own projects, develop their carving skills, and learn at their own pace while building confidence and creativity. Whether you’re fascinated by local birds, love working with your hands, or are curious about the art of wood carving, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn from an accomplished artist. Returning students are always welcome! Continue working on a project from a previous course or start something new. There’s always another bird to carve and new techniques to explore! All supplies are included. Join us for a creative adventure in wood carving and discover the satisfaction of turning a simple piece of wood into something extraordinary.
