November is Métis Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich history, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Métis people and communities. Throughout the month, we can take the opportunity to learn more about Métis heritage, from traditional art, music, dance, and storytelling to the important role Métis people have played in shaping the history of Canada. November also includes Louis Riel Day on November 16, a day to remember the Métis leader and his lasting impact on Métis rights, identity, and history. This month, we honour the stories, strength, and vibrant cultures of Métis communities, past and present. 🧡
