Open Garden - Pat & Bruce Greyell Access to the property is via Magee Road which begins off Mount Gardner Road, close to the parking lot at Killarney Lake. Visitors are advised to park here and car-pool the 1 kilometre to the property. Initially the road winds close to the lakeside before negotiating a rough dirt road through the forest. The house and gardens lie on the edge of a cleared parcel of land, once a smallholding. The large house backs onto an impressive stand of stately first growth timber. Fronting the house, the indefatigable Pat has developed pathways which meander through rich borders of shrubs and trees. This is a magical place to linger and savour at leisure. It will reward you for surviving the pitfalls of the drive in! Parking is limited to the roadside verges. Consider carpooling for a shared walk through the forest.
