Let's make a cute little snowman together! In this introduction to wood turning, students will learn the basics of creating with a lathe and *hopefully* leave with a finished, handmade wooden snowman ornament they made themselves. Not only are these little guys super cute, but making them will also give you the basics of using a super cool tool that tends to be intimidating for people, under the watchful eye of an instructor who will ensure your safety and develop your confidence. If you’ve been thinking about getting into wood turning, this would be a great place to start so you know what to look for when lathe shopping, tools and accessories you might consider purchasing and ask any questions you might have. All supplies included. Due to limited space, as well as time and safety constraints, this class is limited to only THREE participants per session, so register now to secure your space! * We say “hopefully” because wood is an organic material and while we will do our best to complete a project on the day, it is possible that a particular piece of wood simply doesn’t cooperate. If you don’t manage to come away with a finished product, you can schedule a follow-up session with the instructor to complete your snowman.
